Blogging is becoming more and more popular each day. It’s estimated that there are over 100 million blogs on the internet, with new ones being created every second. Blogs can be used for a variety of purposes, whether it’s just for fun or to make some money! In this blog post, I’ll outline six ways you can make money from blogging.

Tips for Blogging as a Hobby: There’s no reason why you can’t blog because it’s fun! Whether your’re blogging about your favorite TV show or food, there are countless ways to make money from it if you want to.

Why the best blogs are written for fun

The best blogs are written for fun. Passion and excitement are the key ingredients that make a blog interesting. If you’re genuinely interested in something, then it’s likely to be more appealing to your readers. You can take this further by adding pictures or videos of what you’ve written about — people love visuals!

In order for blogging to become successful as a business venture, there needs to be some type of monetization involved. There are six ways I’ll go through below:

Advertising

Ads on blogs generate revenue from advertisers who want their product advertised during the time someone is viewing a particular page/blog post. Advertisers choose which websites they’d like their ads displayed on based on how high traffic each site receives and where those viewers come from geographically (e.g. the US).

You can have Google Ads or other types of ads on your blog and each time someone clicks an ad, the advertiser will pay you a small amount of money! This is one way bloggers are making thousands off their site every month. There’s no limit to how much advertisers could be willing to pay so if you get enough traffic, advertising may be something worth considering when trying to monetize your blog in addition to affiliate marketing with Amazon Associates (see below).

Sponsored Posts/Guest Posting

Companies will pay bloggers to write a post on their blog, usually about something that is of interest or related to them and how it relates to the reader. A company wanting this type of exposure for its product can also request you add links back to their site in exchange for payment — just remember not too many! Link-building schemes like these may get your account banned from Google so be careful with what you do.

The key thing when guest posting is making sure there’s no hidden agenda behind why they’re publishing such an article (i.e money) and instead, focus on providing value through sharing interesting stories.

Sponsored posts can be a great way to monetize your blog and help boost traffic if they’re done properly. I recommend finding companies that are related to what you’ve already written about or started writing about, then looking at how much it would cost for them to publish your post on their site. It’s also a good idea not just doing sponsored posts but publishing some guest articles as well so readers see there’s more than one person behind the scenes who writes these amazing stories!

Affiliate Marketing with Amazon Associates

Amazon is an affiliate partner of The Penny Hoarder and other affiliate programs, which means we may earn commission from this service when our users take action after clicking links on our site . This is when you link your blog posts to products on the Amazon website, and each time someone buys something using one of these links, you get a small percentage of their purchase price! It can be a great way to monetize your blog and bring in some extra money, especially if you have the right type of traffic coming through.

Freelance Writing

If blogging doesn’t work out as a full-time job then maybe try becoming a freelance writer where people offer jobs getting paid per article. There’s no limit to how much money freelancers could be earning depending on how fast they write articles These types of opportunities are typically posted on Craigslist or Freelancer.com and sometimes can be a little risky. Make sure you check out the writer’s background and examples of work before accepting any offers!

Selling Your Own Products/Services

If blogging is going to become your full-time job, why not turn it into a business? You could sell products related to what you blog about which will make money. If you have a blog with lots of traffic, people may want to buy products that are recommended by influencers like yourself.

You can use platforms such as Shopify or Big Cartel to sell your own t-shirts, mugs and other items featuring quotes from your favorite books! This is another great way for bloggers to make money online because you don’t need thousands of visitors each day but just the right amount so that it becomes profitable enough for you to be able to sustain this side business long term.

Crowdfunding

This is when you raise money online by asking your followers to contribute a small amount of money each in exchange for some kind of bonus, such as an ebook. You can set up crowdfunding campaigns on websites like Patreon or IndieGoGo. The key thing with crowdfunding is having a good pitch and knowing your audience!

Your Turn: Keep writing the blog post content to help drive traffic from social media. You can also use relevant hashtags in the content of this article. **Make sure you don’t forget to include images, links and videos if applicable!*** #bloggingtips #

There are countless ways bloggers make money from blogging and I’ve outlined six popular ones above! Whether it’s through affiliate marketing with Amazon Associates, selling products featuring quotes from your favorite books or becoming a freelance writer where people will pay per article, there are many opportunities out there waiting for anyone who wants to turn their blog into something profitable.
